What is going on?

Let's see if I get this right.  For the past year, Democrats, the left, the justice department, the FBI and a few other agencies, including the CIA, DoD, ASPCA, PTA and others have been conducting an extensive investigation purporting "collusion existed between the Trump campaign and the Russians regarding the prior election".  People have been shouting, leveling their own accusations, rioting and implying that Trump and the Russians stole the elections.  The FBI has been at the heart of this investigation...their prior leader, James Comey, had been leading the push to get at the heart this investigation.  The FBI even came up with a secret dossier complied by several agencies, including foreign agencies, perhaps attesting to this very thing.  Well, a year has gone by, no new information has surfaced, and still no arrests specifically have been made supporting the accusations.  A special investigator was hired by the Congress to find out the truth.  Th...

To shut down or not to shut down the government!

Ironically, these lawmakers are more interested in protecting the "future" vote of the people that are here illegally rather than the true constituents of their states.  That's it in a nut-shell!  It has nothing to do with what is right or wrong, it has all to do with what is wrong above all that is right!  To hold the government and the taxpayers as hostages is blatantly disgraceful.  The children brought here by their parents illegally, WILL NOT be shipped back to wherever they came from....the house knows it, the senate knows it, I know this and you should know this too!  What is sad is that they have the many Americans convinced that they are fighting for the rights of the oppressed children, WHEN IN FACT, they are merely hoping for new voters to remember them come election time.  The House and Senate could have created a law, not the executive order issued by the last president, that only put a bandage on this problem.  All this new president did ...

Im not getting this!

I'm not getting this: Even as the United States tries to ratchet up sanctions against North Korea for its purported March 26 sinking of a South Korean warship, the United Nations will be sending them a blank check in the amount of $170 million on new programs. More surprisingly, it is doing so with the knowledge and cooperation of the U.S. State Department. The world community turns the other check. Apparently, sink a ship and kill 46 soldiers and you get money. You don't even get sanctioned.

Life's little things

There comes a time in life, when you must walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You then try and surround yourself with people who make you laugh (even at yourself), forget the bad, and focus on the good things life has to offer. So, love the people who treat you right, hold them close. Think good thoughts, even for the ones who don't (they too may need a lift for a prayer). Life is way too short to be anything but happy and among family and friends. Falling down is part of LIFE...Getting back up is LIVING...!

The Consititution...rewritten or reread?

"The Constitution: It doesn’t need to be rewritten, - it needs to be reread". I have heard it said by some "new age progressives" that this document should be "living" and evolve and mature just as they feel they have evolved and matured.  These groups feel it needs to change with the times. ..to better conform to their progressivism! These progressives feel it needs to suit their own needs rather than preserve the will of the majority, who incidentally feel it should remain in place as intended.   I for one feel it should remain true to its original intent.  The more rules we write the more limitations and freedoms are removed.  It was not perfect, but it is the best we have and our nation has prospered because of it.  I'm saying the words as it was intended were great and still serve us today! Its the evolved who practice and live by the new world standards or new world order who need to have it meet their new found perversions.  They need to have i...

The constitution

"The Constitution: It doesn’t need to be rewritten, - it needs to be reread". I have heard it said by some that this document should be "living" and evolve with us as we mature and evolve as a society of people. In other words, “it needs to change with the times”!  I disagree!  Sadly, we need to remain true to its original intent.  Though it may not be perfect, it is the best we have (definitely when compared to all other world governments and documents) and our nation has significantly prospered because of it and because of its original intent.  I am, for one, saying the words and its original intentions were somewhat inspired and serve us!  Men perverted it along the way and the more it is amended the more perverted it has a chance of becoming!  Its the people who practice and profess to live by it, while at the same time, want to amend it to reflect some of their perversion that needs to be addressed.  I for one believe it is one of the best docume...

Ignorance is bliss

"California is one of the only states in the country where the courts have applied inverse condemnation liability to events caused by a privately owned utility's equipment. This means that if a utility's equipment is found to have been a substantial cause of the damage in the event like a wildfire -- even if the utility has followed established inspection and safety rules -- the utility may be liable for property damages and attorneys' fees associated with that event".  This doesn't sound foreboding unless you are the utility company, the employees and/or its customers.  California, which has some of the most ignorant laws of the land, now say they have the ability to sue the utilities companies for damages caused by the recent wild fires.  If an irresponsible state as California was dumb enough to allow all growth of its forests to go unchecked, also based on their own laws, then they too should be held liable.  Controlled fires would have helped mitigate the...

Watch your P’s & Q’s.

According to a news report, a certain private Catholic school was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine provided it was of a natural or neutral skin tone, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them; and the next day the girls would put them bac k. Finally, the principal, Sister Mary, decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian, who had to clean the mirrors every night (you can just imagine the yawns from the little princesses!) To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, Sister Mary asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required, and how h...

The "New Math"

Recently was talking to a retired school teacher friend who told me how "helpless" she felt about her former profession and for her students in the last few years of her profession. She no longer believed in the "school system" and of its goals - to instruct! She told me how "the system" slowly evolved into something of a nightmare and into something a bit sinister over the course of a few years! She woke up one day and said "no more", she just couldn't continue pulling her students into this nightmare. Thinking perhaps this was just her own opinion, I talked with a few other teachers that I know, from a few social sites, and they too were feeling some of these same issues. The system was growing and taking over! They each felt the "children" of this generation were being indoctrinated rather than taught all under the guise of "progressivism". You will have to understand the term "progressivism to understand ho...

Radical Christians

"Let me see if I get this right! I have heard many say that we should be compassionate and take in Muslim refugees, and if we don’t “we are not being Christians or we are not living a true Christian life”. Some go so far to even question the fact that “radical Christians” are no different than terrorists since they too kill. I know of no Christians who randomly, honor kill, behead, persecute, are blood thirsty, kill, rape and suppress weaker non-like believers, etc. The only thing we should hate is sin, but never the sinner. We ALL need to wake up. As peaceful citizens we should harbor no ill will to others…period! For the most part we, as a nation, do just that! We are very tolerant of others and other religions. We are the most generous and perhaps tolerant nation both now and at any time in the history of the world. Even our Founding Fathers, almost each and every one of them, thought about the relationships of other religions, including Islam, to the new nation and were prepar...

Racism at its finest!

Let me see if I get this right! Your son goes to another country and gets stopped by the authorities for shoplifting and is incarcerated. Your President happens to be in that country and gets you released and even brings you home on Air Force One, along with him. What do you say, do or how do you respond? Of course, if you didn’t vote for this president and happen to be a bit left leaning you chose to react based on your political feelings versus moral or common sense emotions. (We won’t insert racism into this senero). Does this sound like we are really trying to come together as a nation, especially if you agree with this response? If you happen to be a bit left leaning regarding your principles do you see this as acceptably sticking to ones principles or would you be thankful in spite of your political feelings?

Three great movies!

There are three great movies that I think are well worth watching, even though they are filmed in black and white. For me, they don't make movies like this anymore. They are: "This Land is Mine" (1944), "The Seventh Cross" (1943), and "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946). These three are some of my most favorite movies. Each deals with deeply divided human emotions, overcoming extreme adversity, man's inhumanity toward his fellow man, and the basic will to consciously or subconsciously do what is right; even in the face of extreme hardship. Perhaps a major reason I enjoy viewing these movies is they transport me back to another era and time, of memories of my mother; of how her life must have been like in pre and post-war Germany, and of how she had to survive during that horrific period of time. Each of these movie's primarily focus is from the adult's sufferings, their actions or in-actions and how they eventually overcome tragedy and adver...

How do you look at today?

Do you look at today as just another day in your life...or do you really know what day this is? It's not just another day, it is a new day, a day given to you; its a gift, the only true gift you have right now. The only response you need do is show gratefulness by acknowledging this gift, open your eyes to the world around you by looking at this day as if it were the very first day in your life. Today, look at everything you see differently, because if you do, you will see everything as if it were new. Enjoy your gift!

Happy New Year

Its that time of year again, it's now a new year, we should all resolve to do something; to do better, to see more clearer, to speak softer, to listen harder, to love more, to hate less, to become a better person, to live a better life, to be the best that we can,...just don't forget to close the door on last year! Our next generation

Let me see if I get this right! Most of you know me. I’m not a die-hard left-wing tree hugging snowflake just about as much as I am not a right-wing neo-Nazi skin-head fanatic…! I’m somewhere in between, on most all issues, and that includes my philosophies, nature and just about all other everyday events or issues. You won’t find me marching to save the worlds trees in order to highlight our grossly exaggerated carbon emissions. I don’t believe we should presume to have the abilities to effect global-this or global- that. On the other hand, you won’t catch me dumping oil into our streams and into the air intentionally, but I will drive a boat or car which has the ability to release contaminants into the water and air. I will also eat steak, perhaps this is my way of helping to control the excess flatulence a cow or two, who indecently produce and release more methane gas than CO2 emissions my boat or car ever will. Mother Nature’s wrath, when she pollutes or her ability to clean the e...
