What was it written for?

The Constitution was written to guarantee Live, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It was well written then and it serves us well today. How the government writes laws that reduce these rights is what we have to worry over. All laws should be written to protect these three precepts - never to deny. I believe in life and that all should be able to live it as they choose. I believe life is a treasure as well as a mystery. I believe we have the right and should live it as it was intended to be lived. No one should have the right to deny life as we will never fully understand how it begins nor how it ends. The evil actions of others should never serve to reduce the good actions of others. I believe in liberty. I believe that within every soul lies the hope, will and capacity to reach for its own good. With liberty, I further believe in our inalienable right to be free from coercion. I believe in MY government so long as it places that liberty at the center of its own existe...

Fear

I don't care who you voted for. At all! But this... this is what bothers me so badly...I keep seeing people post on how they are terrified, or scared? Well.. what are you scared of exactly? War? Because that's happening. School shootings? Because that's happening. Pipeline? That's been happening. Terrorism? Definitely alive and well. Going broke due to health insurance? Mm yes. Corruption throughout the system? Already there. Police officers being murdered? Yep, that's happen ing. Bullying? Check. Loss of jobs? We've got that on lock. A tanking economy. Yep. Being discriminated against for your religion, political views, sexual orientation, race? That's been going on. Rape, murder, violence, riots.. all going on and has been. So tell me, what are you scared of that is not already happening basically everywhere? This isn't a Trump problem, this is a people problem. Y'all need to reevaluate your own selves.. The Constitution

Was the Constitution written to guarantee Live, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? Or, was it good only then and does not serve us well today? How the government writes new laws that reduce these rights is what we have to consider. Do you believe that all new laws should be written to further protect these three precepts – or further constrain or deny our rights? Internet Hate

Too much hate, too much animosity, way too many ”he said, she said” ignorant comments from the left and the right, liberals and conservatives alike, and to include the so-called tolerant. Our way of life and our government is on a irreversible path to implode, if we stay on this course (which I doubt we can reverse). Representatives don’t represent, they follow party lines. Friends delete friends just because they disagree. Way too many brave soles have sacrificed their lives for what we once deemed the greatest nation, (perhaps in vain). Now the so-called news media, hate displayed in our TVs, rancor on the internet, radio, and especially by self-serving elected representatives threaten our very way of life. Look up the term “representatives”...what we have seen of them recently is truly reflective of who we all have become and now are! We will reap what we deserve! Sadly, it will be ALL of us that will be effected!

ISM'S

I cannot begin to recall another time in my 6 decades of life that I have worried more about freedoms and those that are slowly eroding from us! I do remember my mother’s stories and how she witnessed events both pre and post-world war German and their eventual losses of freedom! She witnessed how Fascism, Nazism & Socialism, of one kind or another, slowly creeped into the mainstream and way of life in her homeland. Call it Fascism, Socialism, Nazism, Capitalism or any of the other ism’s; that same sort of event is now transpiring in our own country. Those same ism’s are creeping into our lexicon but not into our comprehension or understanding. If you don’t comprehend or understand any of these ism’s, you are in dire need of some education! History will repeat itself! I think we are at that same point in America. We are not at a “crossroads”; we are at a “fork in the road”. What is going on?

Let's see if I get this right.  For the past year, Democrats, the left, the justice department, the FBI and a few other agencies, including the CIA, DoD, ASPCA, PTA and others have been conducting an extensive investigation purporting "collusion existed between the Trump campaign and the Russians regarding the prior election".  People have been shouting, leveling their own accusations, rioting and implying that Trump and the Russians stole the elections.  The FBI has been at the heart of this investigation...their prior leader, James Comey, had been leading the push to get at the heart this investigation.  The FBI even came up with a secret dossier complied by several agencies, including foreign agencies, perhaps attesting to this very thing.  Well, a year has gone by, no new information has surfaced, and still no arrests specifically have been made supporting the accusations.  A special investigator was hired by the Congress to find out the truth.  Th...
