Background noise makers

There are those that want to stay in the background and not make waves, others want to be at the head of the line trying to create a tsunami. There are those that don't know what they want and are content to keep it that way and there are others that know exactly what they want and want the world to know. Being at either end of these character traits is not wrong. If you look closely at yourself you can relate to one or perhaps more of these at some point in your life. I can adamantly say that in my lifetime I have seen myself at the extreme ends of all these these characteristics at one time or another. Perhaps we are a product of our own imagination. If you can imagine it, you can achieve it... I believe as we get older perhaps we all begin to reflect on the "what ifs" in our life. At least, that is what I think! Read a story that Beer had a very profound effect on "sowing the seeds of civilization"... This gives me a new meaning to the phrase "Beer, its what's for dinner!"

No new taxes...

I remember when Bush "41" lost his bid for a second term when he uttered the term "read my lips, no new taxes" and then voters ousted him when his administration admitted the need to raise them. Apparently, Obama "1" wants to halt Social Security COLAs & drop the Home Mortgage Interest deductions. I thought he also ran on "no ... raise in taxes"! Well, what say you now voters? Actually had someone try and explain to me that these were not new taxes....huh!
